Virtual decluttering & organising
We can tackle a project entirely through virtual contact, or in combination with sessions at your home. We simply have to work out which system corresponds to your needs, abilities and financial possibilities. During the sessions, you will be guided through your project in an entirely virtual way, using video connection on a PC, laptop, tablet or your smartphone. Further exchanges can take place by way of phone calls, exchange of pictures or your project follow-up log. For the duration of a sessions my attention will be fully focused on you, your progress and your questions. In fact, we're really working together on your question or project. You carry out the work independently during the session or in the form of assignments. I take care of the project guidance, instructions, support and administration, both during the sessions and between sessions. Benefits of virtual support
The results are often at least as good as or even better than if you work with an organizer in the house for several hours at a time every two or three weeks. Emotional support Virtual decluttering may help separate two types of support that usually happen at once when I'm visiting your home. On the one hand, there is the purely practical activity that deals with clutter and disorganisation in your space, but there is also an emotional aspect to what we do together that needs addressing on occasion. In the heat of the moment, it's often easier to focus on the practical side of the project and the emotional element gets drowned out. Virtual sessions allow us to create specific moments to address such issues in much more focused ways. Any displacement activity can be shut down for a while in order to deal with the stumbling blocks in your mind as a separate - yet equally important - issue. You'll find me a good and insightful listener. This may be the right choice for you if…
If you are not sure, let’s discuss this and find out if virtual support is suitable for your particular project. |
Initial assessment In a phone or video call, we will look at your project and what kind of assistance you need. We will also address any questions around the technical aspect of virtual organising and determine which channel we’ll be using during our collaboration. We also discuss payment and clarify the terms of the agreement. If our initial conversation goes well, we’ll find a time and date for our first session. The sessions During a typical session, I will join you virtually and assist you with your actions. This means that you can discuss doubts and questions and get tailored advice. All the while I’ll be taking notes of your progress and any ideas that come my way. I’ll also keep an eye out for any emotional hiccups you experience or practical hurdles in order to point you in the right direction. These work sessions typically take 1 to 2 hours, and they can be organised in regular intervals to suit your needs - short sessions bi-weekly - or longer sessions once a week, or whatever else works best for you. You're in charge! At the end of the session, we'll schedule the next session and determine your assignment to be carried out before the following session. Interim contact My session notes will be transferred into a document that you will receive after each session. You can also comment on this between sessions and send it back, thereby helping to create a growing record of your progress. It may be necessary to communicate your ‘homework’ in between sessions so we can start the next session without losing too much time catching up. Conclusion When your current project is finished, we will evaluate it together. We’ll find out the answers to questions like
Follow-up If you decide to continue on your own, you could stay in touch and sign up for my Follow-up package. This gives you a monthly check in video call that allows you to ask pertinent question or show off your success. |
